The Chairman for Africa Group 1 Constituency Honourable Ukur Yatani Kanacho thanked all Ho-nourable Governors for all the support accorded to Kenya during its tenure as chairperson of the Constituency.
The outgoing chair (Kenya) welcomed the incoming Executive Director, Alternate Executive Director and the new chairman (Lesotho) for the Constituency Honorable Selibe Mochoboroane, the Minister of Development Planning and Governor to the World Bank Group. The handing over was done during the 2020 Annual Meetings in October.
He wished a new team all the best as it commences a mammoth task in leading the Constituencies and further expressed his confidence to devoted constituency members that it will do all that it takes to enable them as leaders in this process for the mutual benefit of the country through the Constituency Group.
Accepting the Chairmanship for Africa 1 Constituency, Honourable Selibe Mochoboroane expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Lesotho for accepting the chairmanship of Constituency Panel for 2020-2022
Hon. Mochoboroane congratulated the outgoing chairman Ukur Yatani Kanacho for the leadership in guiding the panel and expressed hope to work as colleagues to tackle development challenges and uphold their constituencies as well as work closely for the next 2 years.
As a new chairman, Hon. Mochoboroane expressed his hope to work closely with the rest of the team. The chair announced the next statutory meeting of the Constituency to be held during WBG/IMF Spring Meeting in April 2021.
