The Ministry of development planning consists of six departments which jointly work together to achieve the ministry’s goals.


The Ministry of development planning consists of six departments, namely the administration department, aid coordination, statistics, monitoring and evaluation, project cycle management and policy strategic planning.


The department of administration is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and control of all departments.

Aid coordination

Prepares comprehensive statement of Aid Policy, frameworks and Maintain donor profiles and undertake resource mobilization.


Serve as a store-house for all types of statistics required for planning and formulation of development programmes in the country.

Monitoring and evaluation

Undertakes rigorous processes of using predetermined performance measures to collect information projects to setermine their merit or worth.

Project cycle management

plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects effectively and efficiently throughout its phases and reviews to achieve goals.

Policy and strategic planning

Creates specific strategies, implements them, and evaluates the results of executing the plan, in regard to overall long-term goals
